Winemaker Bio
Jeremy Ligon is a second-generation Virginia winemaker and the creative force behind the wines at Barrel Oak Winery & Brewery. A Virginia native, he blends family legacy with modern technique to craft wines that are expressive, balanced, and rooted in place.
After earning his B.S. in Enology from California State University, Fresno, Jeremy returned to Virginia to help shape the state’s growing wine scene. Since joining Barrel Oak in 2021, he has elevated the portfolio with award-winning wines that reflect both terroir and thoughtful craftsmanship.
Jeremy’s approach centers on letting the fruit speak, guided by precise cellar work and a deep respect for Virginia’s vineyards—passion and intention evident in every bottle.
