Southwest Mountains Vineyards believes in crafting wine that honors the distinctive terroir and the individual grape varietals. And that tender vines need to be prudently nurtured, with a commitment to land preservation and renewal is essential, and exceptional wines are made by dedicated, passionate craftspeople. SMV also believes that wine growing in Virginia is deeply rooted in tradition and most importantly, they believe in exceeding expectations by elevating the quality of Virginia wine, that every glass has a story worth telling and each bottle deserves a place on the table.
The vineyard has a unique octave in the dynamic Old World style wines grown on three estates and are the recipient of 2 Gold Medals in the 2024 Governor’s Cup and part of the Gold Medal Wine Trail.
