How ranking works: wineries are ranked by number of gold medals. Where two wineries have the same number, the Recency Score breaks the tie — it is the sum of the years in which those golds were won, so a higher score means the medals were won more recently. It is used only to separate equal gold counts, never to change the order of wineries with different counts.
